Book Review: When Vamps Bite by Nicole Zoltack

For a while now I have been searching for a new author with some fresh new Urban Fantasy books that are just as awesome as my other Top 30 Best Adult Urban Fantasy Series. I found her! Her name is Nicole Zoltack and she lives in the United States.

I just finished the first book “When Vamps Bite” in the Bedlam in Bethlehem Series. Clarissa, a 27-year old detective, who will do anything to keep her city safe and discovers that the bad guys are not just human. This first book in the series focuses on Vampires but I have a feeling that there will be more supernaturals who will threaten the safety of Bethelem’s citizens. And let me tell you this book is AWESOME.

Unsolved mysteries, friendships, supernatural mayhem, lots of witty dialogues, day-to-day struggles of a 27-year old, and of course some handsome men who may or may not have a chance to win her heart. A recipe for a great urban fantasy bookseries.

This book focuses less on the romance part and more on the mystery part. It keeps you guessing until the last page. I do hope one of the potential male interests turns out to be prince charming, since I do love a good slow burning romance in a paranormal novel.

Readers who enjoy the Elemental Assassin series from Jennifer Estep and Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires should give this series a try. Trust me you’ll love it.
