Book Review: Hunter’s Quest (Rebel, Supernatural Bounty Hunter #1)

Enter the “Mayhem of Magic World” with Hunter’s Quest and read about Rebel, a Supernatural Bounty Hunter and enjoy yet another great Urban Fantasy series of USA author Nicole Zoltack. In this NA Urban Fantasy book you read about a 21-year old HUMAN supernatural bounty hunter. What can a human possibly do to best super powerful supernaturals? A lot! At first you think her goal is to attend the Magical Hunters Academy, but after reading a few more pages her goal becomes clear: she wants to recover the memory of her brothers death at all costs. Even if she has to kill some supernaturals for money to achieve that goal.

I love that storyline! This heroine is independent, strong for a human, a killer bounty hunter and secretly finds her way back to a more humane hunter. At the end of this first book in the Rebel books you get to meet one of my favorite characters from “When Vamps Bite” as well. Check out my review about this series here.

I rated Hunter’s Quest 4 stars on Goodreads. Why 4 stars en not 5? The evolving friendships were a bit too fast and too good to be true, furthermore the action packed scenes and quests were very short and tidy as well. I would have liked a bit more depth in both the friendships and quests.

And please please please let this just be a very slow burning romance, because we all know Darius and Rebel are a match made in heaven :-).

Overall GREAT story! If you like Urban Fantasy with a little less romance, a fast paced story, cool supernatural creatures and a story that keeps you guessing and wanting more? You’re in for a treat!
